These Thai cleavers (also known as "Mid Dat Whai" or sometimes "enab") can be used for decorative purposes, yet they are occasionally used for ceremonies or rituals during special festivals or celebrations and gatherings in Thai temples.

They are Gurkha (Nepalese Kukri) like shaped blades with a sort of choil (cut-out indent in the blade, big enough for a finger).

Classed in our Mother Of Pearl  category, these items' grips are in fact decked with crafted mother of pearl extracted from shells and delicately applied onto the handle. Optionally, we also offer an appropriate matching display stand for each presented item on this page. These cleavers are particular by their appearance since their shapes are unique to the area. The offered items come in 2 sizes. Engravings on these items are nowadays done onto stainless steel blades with the help of an electric engraver. Generally, the illustrations are  blessings.

These items are supplied together with their individual display stands.

See the tang habitually used here at the bottom of the illustration.
