Sword series description:

This swords are just like the habitual Thai Darb swords. The difference from the former lies in a more sleek, un-carved handle. The scabbard and handle are usually made of teak wood, painted brown, black or varnished. However, to enhance the appearance of these articles, we propose 3 additional wood kinds that we advise to select varnished to better enjoy the details of the material (these are more costly wood sorts, the Chin Chan wood sort is in limited supply)). The scabbard is additionally decorated with twine as shown on the picture. Scabbard mouth and hilt extremities can be chosen in either brass or stainless steel. And last but not least, the articles in these series differentiate themselves by the pommel's style, that can of course be selected as well.

Blade selection and tangs for this sword series:

Blades

A choice of three different blade steel distinctiveness is offered (see blade material choice below).

Blade engravings and their performed methods can be chosen for a variety of blade shapes and styles (note that stainless steel blades cannot carry etched engravings).

Tangs

See all the different tangs habitually used here.

The usual tang (habitual Darb's tang) is a rat tail tang composed of a rod welded to a small tang left on the blade.

The other end of the rod is threaded to screw on the pommel and fasten the blade to the handle, see here

Two additional tangs are offered , for an additional charge:

- a half tang or tang usually used for the Krabi Krabong swords, see here

- a full tang, the tang of choice for the expert and frequent user, see here --- full tang fabrication details here

What else is so exclusive ?

Our articles are not mass produced. All sword parts are hand made to size and adjusted in the final assembly and finishing stages. Each part is therefore unique in its form and dimensions. Similar parts are thus seldom interchangeable, subsequently every individual sword distinguishes itself by its uniqueness.
