Sword
series description:
This swords
are the habitual Thai Darb swords taken a step forward in the esthetical
aspect. Either one, two or three embossed decorative parts can be selected
to be placed onto the scabbard. Regarding the selection, a choice of
two style is even offered:
with crown like borders, and
with more leveled borders. The
handle may been given an additional touch by
enclosing it into an embossed decorative casing as well, if not desired or
chosen then the same wood will be used for the scabbard and handle. The wooden parts may be
painted brown, be varnished or painted black or Bordeaux red. The
scabbard is additionally decorated with a few twine rings as shown on the picture.
Again, if a wooden hilt is selected, the guard and pommel can be made of
stainless steel or brass. On the other hand, if an embossed part is decided
on for the handle, all embossed elements (for scabbard and handle) can be made of
copper or silver, and be plated (copper only), painted or gilded.
Finally, the price is case sensitive, composed in relation to all the
options just described.

For the base price, two customary tangs are offered:
1)
the tang

wood screw that is welded on the
blade's tang (see
).
2)
the usual tang for swords without embossed casings on the handle (habitual Darb's
tang) is a rat tail tang composed of a rod welded to a small tang left on
the blade. The other end of the rod is threaded to screw on the pommel and
fasten the blade to the handle, see
Two additional tangs are offered for swords without casings on the handle, for an additional charge:

a half tang or tang usually used for the Krabi Krabong swords, see
-
a full tang, the tang of choice for the expert and frequent user, see
The
usual tang, Krabi Krabong and full tang type is only
obtainable for Darbs without handle casings!

What
else is so exclusive ?
Our articles are not mass produced. All sword parts are hand made to size
and adjusted in the final assembly and finishing stages. Each part is
therefore unique in its form and dimensions. Similar parts are thus seldom
interchangeable, subsequently every individual sword distinguishes itself by
its uniqueness.
